Easy geometry insights for quick student reference
Area and perimeter is a foundational skill for third graders to master. This colorful chart is the perfect reference!
Download the sample to see what you get.
One glance helps your kids remember the key components of calculating both measurements, and as a bonus, and it shows any classroom visitors what you are working on. Visual definitions are very effective – kind of like having a helping hand when you have so many students to take care of.
You have two different options for using this anchor chart:
- The cut-and-glue kit. Print it out on standard paper, trim it a little and put it together. Laminate it and you'll be able to use it year after year!
- I also include a small version for you to 3-hole punch and put in a notebook. Your students will have access to the information even after you take down the anchor chart. Laminate and use it forever!
Of course you get complete instructions, too, as well as the applicable Common Core Standards.
The cut-and-glue version can be trimmed to fit a standard flip-chart easel… approximately 27 x 34 inches (68 x 86 cm).
