Math target posters that really make a difference
When our elementary math students are expected to demonstrate mastery of standards, they need to know what those standards are… and exactly how they can show mastery.
I've included an example for every standard so students understand what it means. These are written so students can truly understand them – not just a summary of the standard.
Be sure to download a sample by clicking the grade-level links above.
The simple language and example ensure that students understand what the target means and how they can show they have mastered it.
“These really helped my students take responsibility for their own learning. And they keep referring to them all year long! The examples are great. ~ Beth
These are a great resource for students (and teachers). Keep in mind though, the examples are not the only way to demonstrate understanding!
These math target posters are easily printed on 8½ x 11 inch paper or card stock. I print mine on cardstock and laminate them so I can use them over and over. You could even 3-hole punch them to keep in a binder, sorted by standard or year-long-plan!
